So, admission to the clinical residency (residency) of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute has been extended until September 10, 2021 (on this day, inclusive).

Documents required for submission to the admissions office for clinical residency:
1. Application addressed to the rector of the institute (an example application can be downloaded when registering in the form – link above) with an indication of the specialty;
2. A document on basic higher education or an equivalent document (bachelor’s degree);
3. Supplement to the document on basic higher education (supplement to the bachelor’s diploma);
4. Medical certificate – form 086U;
5. Passport;
6. Document on knowledge of a foreign language – National certificate (certificate of the State Testing Center) or International certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge Assessment English FCE, Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDAF, DSD, DELF, TCF) (if any);
7. Document on the availability of benefits for admission to training in clinical residency (in accordance with the law) (if any).

According to the Order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 172 dated July 19, 2021 “On admission to clinical residency (residency) in the 2021/2022 academic year”, applicants who at the time of the competition in clinical residency have a national or international certificate of having an appropriate level of knowledge of a foreign language, are exempt from passing tests in a foreign language (the second stage of the competition) and they will be awarded the maximum score in this subject.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 395 of 13.05.2019 “On measures for the application of certificates of international and national systems for assessing admission to higher educational institutions” where a foreign language is one of the subjects of entrance examinations, and having a national or international certificate of the level of knowledge of a foreign language, are exempted from passing this exam and they are assigned the maximum score in this subject:

  • in English – a national certificate or a certificate of level B2 and higher in the international exam system International English Language Testing System (IELTS 5.5), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL IBT 72), Cambridge Assessment English FCE;
  • in the Japanese language – a national certificate or a certificate of having a level B2 and higher according to the international exam system Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT No. 2);
  • in the German language – a national certificate or a certificate of having a level B2 and higher according to the international exam system Goethe-Zertifikat, Deutsches Sprachdiplom (DSD), Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache (Test DAF);
  • in French – a national certificate or a certificate of having a level B2 and higher according to the international exam system Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF), Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF);
  • in other languages ​​- a national certificate or a certificate of having a level B2 and higher according to the international exam system.

The beginning of the training process for clinical residency in the 2021/2022 academic year at TashPMI (taking into account the epidemiological situation and quarantine measures): September 20, 2021.

The examinations for admission to clinical residency will be conducted in two phases.

  • the first stage – test trials in the subjects of the specialty – in the period from September 10 to September 15, 2021;
  • the second stage – test tests in a foreign language, which will be conducted by the State Testing Center – from September 16 to September 20, 2021.

The date of the tests for admission to clinical residency (residency) will be announced on the official website of the institute.

IMPORTANT! If an exam participant (applicant) is found to have a body temperature higher than 37.0 C at the entrance to the testing area, the admissions committee will draw up a protocol, the ekamen participant (applicant) will not be allowed to test and will be redirected to a medical institution for a medical examination. At the same time, participants (applicants) who were not admitted to testing on the set day due to the detection of their body temperature above 37.0 C at the entrance to the testing area, who underwent a medical examination and who were not diagnosed with coronavirus infection (PCR – ” negative “) – will be able to be tested on the fourth day after the completion of testing.

IMPORTANT! We remind you that in accordance with the “Regulations on clinical residency”, approved by the 2nd annex to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 319 dated December 12, 2009, when entering clinical residency, it is prohibited to simultaneously participate in the competition in several directions and several institutions. In such a case, the accepted documents will be canceled.

According to the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 12, 2021 No. 6 (registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 3303 dated May 12, 2021) “On the approval of the nomenclature of types of medical specialties for which medical activities are carried out”, the nomenclature of types of medical specialties was approved, according to which medical activities are carried out.

Khokimiyat contract – allocated quotas for training in clinical residency on the basis of khokimiyat contracts financed from the local budget by regional khokimiyats for the purpose of training doctors in narrow specialties necessary for the regions.

According to the Order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 172 of July 19, 2021 “On admission to clinical residency (residency) in the 2021/2022 academic year”, doctors who received their education in clinical residency on the basis of khokimiyat contracts will have to work in the relevant region for three years.
