On March 25, professors and students of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute held an event on the topic: “New Edition of the Constitution in New Uzbekistan”.

The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis adopted the Law on the new edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The law will be put to a vote in a popular referendum. The referendum was scheduled for Sunday, April 30.

According to the new edition, the number of articles in the Constitution of Uzbekistan has been increased from the current 128 to 155, and its norms from 275 to 434. Conceptual changes are made to 91 articles out of 128. In general, 65% of the constitution is being changed.

Explanatory work on the Referendum was carried out among the faculty and students of the institute.
