Responsible for the spiritual and moral activities of the department: assistant Ubaydullaeva O.Kh.

At the department, spiritual and moral work is carried out according to the approved plan. “Information Hours” is held weekly, events, meetings and conversations on various spiritual and moral topics are regularly organized.

The department pays special attention to the appearance of students, a healthy lifestyle, aesthetic and moral education. The teaching staff of the department actively participates in all events of the institute and constantly occupy places of honor. All department employees visit the student dormitory every month.

The department has established work in educational, spiritual and moral areas. As part of this direction, the department hosts a weekly “news hour” with the participation of all department teaching staff, masters, clinical residents of the department, and students who are in a cycle lesson, where news from our country and the world is discussed.

Regularly, in accordance with the approved plan, meetings of the department on spiritual and moral work are held, at which important topics are discussed, such as terrorism and religious extremism, culture of behavior, improper upbringing and its consequences. Meetings are held in the form of lectures, reports, and discussions. At these meetings, reports prepared by students, masters, clinical residents, and department assistants are also read out.

During the academic year, “Information Hours” are held weekly and, based on this information, propaganda and educational work is carried out among teachers and students. All festive events are systematically held at the department.

Also, at each cycle lesson, conferences are held among students on such current topics as drug addiction, substance abuse, smoking, and the consequences of improper upbringing.

Professors and teachers of the department regularly conduct explanatory conversations with students, masters and clinical residents about the dangers of substance abuse, the importance of proper education for the formation of a healthy, socially adapted personality, the importance of ethics and deontology in medicine and the influence of stress factors on people’s mental health.

During the academic year, meetings on spiritual and moral education are held every month.

In addition, together with the department for youth work, spirituality and education, conferences are organized on the topics “Drug Addiction”, “Tobacco Smoking”, “HIV Infection”, “Alcoholism”, which are held in lecture halls. Similar lectures and events are held for students living in dormitories. During duty in the hostel, a conversation is held on the topic “Prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.”

The department regularly carries out work to improve the spiritual, moral and professional level of the teaching staff. Employees of the department actively participate in the public life of the institute, in cultural and sports events. In sports competitions, they take prizes in volleyball and football.

The department has organized curatorial work. The department has 5 supervisory groups of the 1st Pediatric Faculty. Curators monitor the living conditions of students, their progress and attendance. Supervisory groups regularly hold conversations aimed at developing high spiritual and moral qualities in students, developing a sense of patriotism, trust and respect for each other.

Together with curatorial groups, teachers participate in holidays: “Independence Day”, “Students’ Day”, “Mentor and Teacher Day”, “Constitution Day”, “Navruz”, March 8, and others.

During the academic year, excursions to museums are organized for students of curatorial groups: “Courage”, “Art”, “Medicine”, “Amir Temur”, “Sports Valor”, etc. They also visit theaters: “National Drama Theater”, “Abror Khidoyatova” “, “Ilkhom”, exhibitions and attractions of Uzbekistan. Curators are constantly working to improve the spiritual and moral level of students in curatorial groups.

Curators also conduct round tables and discussions with students of curatorial groups on the following topics: “The value of family”, “The Constitution”, “The fight against terrorism, religious extremism and corruption”, “On the negative impact of drug addiction, substance abuse, smoking”, “The harm of alcoholism” , “About kindness and mercy”, “Prevention of HIV/AIDS”, “Tasks of a doctor”, etc.

Curators get acquainted with the living conditions of students in dormitories and rented apartments. Also, curators introduce students to the conditions created at the institute, available opportunities for material encouragement and assistance, opportunities for personal and psychological support, and whenever possible, students are provided with all possible assistance.

Hours of information:
The department has a folder of materials containing Decrees of the President, Government Decrees, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Health, political news, etc. These materials are actively discussed at department meetings, lectures, and practical classes.
