On May 26, 2021, the Interregional Conference of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan and Russia will be held at the Sahid Zarafshan Hotel in Bukhara.

Within the framework of this conference, it is expected that the responsible heads of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education, Rosobrnadzor and the rector of more than 20 universities are expected to participate.

It is planned to discuss substantive and organizational issues of improving the quality of education, developing scientific and technical cooperation, training personnel with higher education in accordance with the needs of employers, organizing the Second Educational Forum, scheduled for autumn in Moscow. At the same time, it is planned to sign a number of agreements on interuniversity cooperation.

In addition, on May 27, Tashkent will host a meeting of the Subcommittee on Science and Education of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. The guests will take part in the opening ceremony of the building of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Russian Chemical-Technological University named after D. I. Mendeleev”.
