Bobur Turaev, doctor of the Cardiac Surgery Department of the Clinic of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, completed a 1-month scientific and practical internship at the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, Okayama University Hospital, Japan.
During the internship, a specialist from Uzbekistan participated in many operations, improved his skills in preparing patients for surgery and postoperative care.
At the end of the internship, the staff of the Okayama University clinic highly appreciated the knowledge and skills of a specialist from Uzbekistan and expressed hope for continued cooperation with the clinic of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute.
For reference: Okayama University Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the southern part of Japan, with about 50 departments and about 1000 beds. The cardiac surgery department of this hospital is one of the leading departments in the world, and one of the most complex operations to date, Sano’s modification of the Norwood operation, has been started in this clinic.
