On September 11, 2023, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed Decree No. PQ–300-1-54, expanding measures for the implementation of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy. According to this decree, the “One million coders” program has been expanded with the aim of selecting the most talented young individuals and preparing them for the international IT market in line with the requirements of leading global companies.
The Ministry of Digital Technologies has provided the opportunity to utilize online education resources from the United States-based company Coursera through the platform https://uzbekcoders.uz. Coursera certificates are widely recognized worldwide, offering young people the opportunity for employment in well-paid positions and additional income.
Furthermore, in accordance with Decree No. 310 dated May 19, 2021, from the Supreme Court, support is provided for young professionals holding international IT certificates, covering 50% of the expenses incurred by young individuals in obtaining international IT certificates. The list of international IT certificates has also been approved.
Out of the 230 approved IT certificates, 40 belong to Coursera programs. According to this arrangement, it has been decided to cover 50% of the overall expenses for the training of international IT certificates for those who possess these certificates.
