In the period from January 22-31, 2024, a training seminar was held among general practitioners of the Syrdarya region within the framework of the action program (mhGAP) The World Health Organization.

Assistant of the Department of Psychiatry, Medical Psychology, Psychotherapy of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, PhD T.B. Irmukhamedov and head of the department of the neuropsychiatric dispensary of the Syrdarya region A.K. Botirov conducted a training seminar on providing medical care for certain mental disorders in institutions of primary unified medical care provided for in paragraph 4 of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 196 dated 06/19/2023 “On measures for the further development of the mental health service of the population.”

The Program of Action of the World Health Organization (mhGAP) for the provision of assistance for certain mental disorders, aimed at putting into practice measures for early detection, monitoring and improving the knowledge of doctors in primary health care institutions.

During the organized training seminar, students were given practical recommendations on the early detection, diagnosis and further tactics of managing patients with mental disorders by doctors in PHC institutions.

At the end of the training seminar, the students were awarded certificates for 54 hours.
