From May 18 to 19, the hackathon “Hacknovation 2024” was held at Amity University Tashkent, which became a significant event in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence. The event was organized in partnership with the IT community of Uzbekistan and the Advisory Council on Artificial Intelligence of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The event was also supported by companies such as Fido-Biznes, TBC Bank Uzbekistan, Payme and Cloupard.
The first day of the event began with the opening ceremony, where the invited speakers made welcoming speeches. The participants were explained the rules of the competition, after which they were assigned to rooms to discuss ideas. After initial discussions, the jury selected 50 teams to participate in the next stage.
One of the outstanding teams was ICMED AI, which included leading specialists from the Center for Advanced Technologies and Strategic Initiatives of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute: Shokhrukh Pardaev, Rashod Akramov, Mukhammadali Mehriddinov and Yulia Hegai, a student of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute. The team participated in the “Kidney Guard” project, which uses computer vision to determine four kidney conditions: the presence of a cyst, a tumor, the presence of kidney stones and the normal condition of the kidneys. The team scored high points and entered the top 50.
“Hacknovation 2024” brought together more than 100 teams from all over the country, demonstrating a wide range of innovative ideas and solutions in the field of IT and artificial intelligence. The event not only highlighted talent in Uzbekistan, but also promoted cooperation and knowledge sharing among the participants.
At the end of the hackathon, ICMED AI team members were awarded certificates for active participation, noting their diligence and contribution to the event. “Hacknovation 2024” has set a new standard for future technology competitions in Uzbekistan, highlighting the importance of innovation and collaboration in a rapidly evolving technology environment.
