On September 20-21, 2024, the second season of the President Tech Award hackathon took place at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent. The event brought together leading specialists interested in developing innovative solutions at the intersection of technology and medicine.
The teams “ICMED AI” and “Shifo AI” from the Center for Advanced Technologies and Strategic Initiatives of the Tashkent Pediatric Institute actively participated in the hackathon, presenting their developments. Over three days of competition, they created two innovative mobile applications powered by artificial intelligence.
The first application, Cardioalert, analyzes ECG images. With the help of AI, it assesses the image and provides results indicating whether there are changes in the ECG or not. The second application, OncoCare AI, uses computer vision technology to analyze MRI brain scans, enabling the detection of tumors.
Thanks to the successful implementation of these projects, the teams ranked in the top 15 and top 25 out of 70 teams in the hackathon. Their achievements highlight the importance of AI in modern medical developments and the prospects for its further integration into practice.
