As part of the cooperation between the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov and the academic mobility program, an international scientific and practical conference of young scientists and students “Innovative technologies in the field of public health protection” was held at the Pediatric Institute on April 29, 2025.
The purpose of the conference was to encourage the creative activity of students, undergraduates and young scientists, as well as to involve them in scientific research and solving urgent health problems. In addition, the conference is aimed at strengthening educational and scientific ties between young researchers from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by more than 300 young scientists, undergraduates, residents and students from Uzbekistan (TashPMI, TMA, TSSI, SamSMU, FMIOZ, Urgench branch of TMA, Urgench State University), Kazakhstan (KazNMU named after S.D.Asfendiyarov, MKTU named after H.A. Yasavi, Astana Medical University, Nazarbayev School of Medicine University, KRMU, SKSMU, UIB, Caspian University) and Kyrgyzstan (KRSU named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin).
Within the framework of the conference, plenary and breakout sessions were held, at which more than 100 oral and poster presentations by students, undergraduates and residents, doctoral students were heard and discussed, which presented the results of scientific research by young scientists and students on scientific and practical aspects of priority areas of medicine, especially issues of providing medical and social assistance to children with various diseases, including hereditary and genetic diseases.
Following the results of the international conference, the best scientific reports were identified and rewarded in 3 categories – the best works of students, masters and residents, as well as doctoral students.
The conference was coordinated by the Departments of Hospital Pediatrics No. 2, Traditional Medicine (Head of the Department – Prof. D.I.Akhmedova), Hospital Pediatrics No. 1, Traditional Medicine (Head of the Department – Prof. N.R.Aliyeva) Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and the Department of the School of General Medicine No. 1 (prof. A.T. Musaev) Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
