SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES

The department is working on the implementation of the national development program “Science – 2020”, developed jointly with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and the Dutch company “Elsevier”. Its main goal is to improve the efficiency of research activities of professors and teachers of the department, further expanding access to global educational resources, electronic catalogs and databases of modern scientific literature. As part of the national development program, it is planned to include scientific articles of the department in the international system of scientific databases “SCOPUS” and “ScienceDirect” to help young scientists and doctoral students prepare articles and publish them in prestigious publications.

Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 5, 2018 “On additional measures to improve the quality of education in higher education institutions and ensure their active participation in comprehensive reforms implemented in the country” – In order to ensure the implementation of decisions No. 3775, professors, doctoral students and independent researchers of our department took part in seminars and trainings on connecting to the international scientific databases “SCOPUS” and “ScienceDirect”. All professors and doctoral students of our department registered.

Development of measures for the prevention of dental diseases in children.

TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS OF THE DEPARTMENT’S SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES, THE ANNUAL PLAN IS MAINLY IMPLEMENTED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • – publication of scientific articles
  • – participation in scientific and practical conferences with the presentation of abstracts and documents.
  • – publication of monographs
  • – obtaining acts of implementation of scientific research results
  • – obtaining patents
  • – defense of candidate dissertations.
  • – defense of doctoral dissertations.

over the past 5 years, 1 dissertation has been defended: Karimov D.M. (PhD – 2020);

Today, the department employs :

1 doctor of science and 3 candidates of science, 1 professor and 2 associate professors.

Currently, the following research projects are being carried out at the department:

N.S. Saidmurodova “Improving the complex treatment of children with congenital cleft palate and lip.” for a doctor of philosophy of science.

Scientific cooperation.

The department staff actively cooperates with the Department of Otolaryngology of the St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University;

Student scientific society.

Every year, residents of the bachelor’s, master’s and clinical practice programs participate in scientific research conducted at the department. The results of their scientific work are published in the collection of abstracts of the student scientific conference and win prizes.

Scientific conferences.

The department staff regularly undergo internships, participate in congresses, conventions and conferences held in Uzbekistan and abroad. Also, professors and teachers of the department annually participate in the organization of international scientific and practical conferences devoted to current issues of dentistry within the framework of the Society of Dentists of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Scientific publications.

Over the past 10 years, the department’s staff has published about 200 scientific papers, including computer patents from the Intellectual Property Agency.

The members of the Academic Council of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute are the employees of the department (MD 30.12.2019.04. Tib. 29.01):
