The multi-circulation social and educational newspaper of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute was founded in March 1974.

Its first editor-in-chief was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, famous medical geneticist, head of the Department of Biology with Medical Genetics Akilov Ataulla Turakhanovich.

From 1976 to 1978, the newspaper was headed by Professor Zakirov Nazim Alimzhanovich – head of the Department of Microbiology with a course in virology.

From 1978 to February 1987 – Corresponding member of the US Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Saidkhanov Akoid Saidkhanovich – Head of General Surgery.

From February 1987 to 1998, Vera Ivanovna Bazarova was a journalist.

From January 1998 to 2008, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper was Kavsar Sheralievna Turdieva, head of the Department of Uzbek, Russian, Latin Languages.

From 2006 to 2010, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper was the rector of the Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Alimov Anvar Valievich.

From 2010 to the present, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Pediatrician” is the rector of TashPMI, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Daminov Botir Turgunpulatovich.

The newspaper “Pediatrician” has always achieved its goal: to cover the life of the institute, its spiritual, educational and medical activities, consistently and systematically implementing its educational and educational tasks.
