From October 16 to 20, the largest innovation week took place in Uzbekistan, which brought together leading experts and analysts in the field of higher education, science and innovation. “InnoWeek-2023” has become a platform for the active exchange of opinions, advanced ideas and knowledge in the context of reforms in New Uzbekistan.

The initiative to hold annual international innovation fairs and innovation and investment forums was laid down by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2018. These events actively gather scientists, representatives of innovation and research centers, investment funds, technology agencies, technology parks and business incubators, creating favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship, investment potential and technological development in the country.

The purpose of the week of innovative ideas is to exchange experience and knowledge among foreign and domestic experts, analyze reforms in the field of higher education, science and innovation, their essence, achievements and promising tasks in the field of innovative development.

As part of “InnoWeek-2023”, the management of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute (TashPMI) organized an exhibition with 13 projects, which attracted the attention and interest of many visitors. This exhibition has become a venue for the presentation of advanced technologies, products, designs, prototypes and models, promoting promotion and cooperation among domestic and foreign representatives.

It is also important to note the participation of Igor Vikhrov, a representative of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute in the National Council on Artificial Intelligence, in the regular meeting of the Advisory Council on Artificial Intelligence under the ministry. This event was dedicated to discussing the role of artificial intelligence in education and included important issues such as the effective use of artificial intelligence in education.

The new composition of the Advisory Council, which was created under the Ministry of Innovative Development in 2022, demonstrates the active participation of foreign experts in the field of artificial intelligence. This underlines the importance of Uzbekistan in developing innovation and exchanging cutting-edge ideas, and also stimulates the development of higher education, science and innovation in the region and beyond. Leading specialists from the Center for Advanced Technologies and Strategic Initiatives of Tashkent PMI also played an important role in the week of innovative ideas. During the exhibition, Mamadullaev Bobomurod took part in the “Invention and Rationalization” competition with the project “Centralized approach to contact tracing for COVID-19”. In addition, on October 17, the Regional Week of Innovative Ideas “InnoWeek-2023” was held at the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers”, where the leading specialist, Sulaymonova Dilnoza, was invited. Dilnoza presented the “BizDonor” project and actively participated in the exhibition. At the end of the event, all participants were awarded certificates for their active participation in the Regional and International Week of Innovative Ideas “InnoWeek-2023” , emphasizing the importance of innovation and cooperation in the development of Uzbekistan.

As part of “InnoWeek-2023”, a local workshop for students was also held at the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute under the slogan “Creative education and innovation – the basis for the development of a new Uzbekistan”. Students got acquainted with the work of the Center for Advanced Technologies and Strategic Initiatives, and also learned about master classes, startups and hackathons, as well as current startup projects of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute .

“InnoWeek-2023” became a significant event demonstrating Uzbekistan’s desire to develop innovation and strengthen its position in the global innovation community. These events promote business development, strengthen scientific connections and stimulate career opportunities for young scientists and entrepreneurs.
