On 29 January, the Ministry of Digital Technologies hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the third wave of mGovAward. The event was organized by IT Park with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the UAE.

This day, January 29, 2024, marked a historic triumph, highlighted by the ceremonial awarding of the best teams participating in the “mGovAward – 3rd wave” competition. Within this event, the SHIFO AI team, representing the Center for Advanced Technologies and Strategic Initiatives of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, celebrated their outstanding success. The team members proudly received well-deserved awards for their innovative project.

The event was attended by representatives of government organizations and the startup ecosystem, the media, as well as partners from the UAE: Mr. Abdullah Nasser Lootah (Deputy Minister of Government Affairs), Mr. Salim Al-Shami (Executive Director for the Development of Public Services in the Office of the Prime Minister of the UAE ) and Ms. Manal Bin Salim, (Team Leader, State Office for Exchange of Experience).

mGovAward is a large-scale competition for mobile applications designed for students, focusing on improving government services through innovation. It is noteworthy that the competition is held in collaboration with the UAE, bringing together talented youth to create innovative solutions in the field of public governance. Participants develop applications capable of enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of government services. mGovAward promotes international cooperation and innovation, encouraging the development of technological solutions to improve public services and create promising projects.

Competition categories and participation rules:
The competition covers various categories, including road safety, data-driven applications, distance learning, entrepreneurship and e-commerce development, human resources and well-being, ecology and environmental protection, as well as boosting tourism potential. Participation is open to students from educational institutions in Uzbekistan, and each team must consist of a minimum of three participants.


The SHIFO AI team embraced the challenge and presented their project, “School of Autism.” This mobile educational application was specifically developed for children with autism spectrum disorder. Based on the principles of ABA therapy, the application helps children develop speech, memory, and fine motor skills through specially adapted modules.

“School of Autism” earned its well-deserved place among the top-20 projects out of 5,000 applications in the semifinals. It advanced to the top-7 projects in the finals, with the top-3 ultimately winning the competition. This underscores the social significance and innovative approach to education, reaffirming the outstanding role of the SHIFO AI team in the field of technological and educational initiatives.
