Education at the department are students 4-5-6 courses of the Faculty of Medicine, 4-6 courses of the Faculty of Pediatrics, High nurse faculty 2-3 courses. Teaching subjects: • Obstetrics and gynecology; • Children’s gynecology; • Nursing in obstetrics and gynecology. As well as masters in “Obstetrics and Gynecology”. Also, clinical residents are trained at the department with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Children’s Gynecology.
The department conducts research in the following areas: “Surgical treatment of genital prolapse”, “Pregnant microelementoses”, “Diagnosis of premature birth”, “Prediction of severe preeclampsia.”
The scientific degree of the department is 63.3%.
Clinical bases where masters and clinical residents, as well as students are studying, are – City Maternity Hospital No. 6 • City Clinical Hospital No. 4 named after I. The staff of the department, as well as masters, actively collaborate with the following organizations: Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Republican Center for Reproductive Health, Association of Obstetricians of Gynecologists of Uzbekistan, Korean Catholic University – St. Vincent’s Hospital. Medical University Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Verona. Italy, with the medical institute of the department of obstetrics and gynecology, Altai Institute, as well as with ISSA
Employees of the department are actively involved in the development of guidelines, manuals and textbooks on Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, the staff of the department, masters, applicants and doctoral students take an active part in international conferences, congresses and symposia.
