The Faculty of propaedeutics of children’s diseases with the common care the Tashkent pediatric medical institute has been established on August, 20th, 1972. To its first manager became d.m.s., professor Nazarmuhamedov Fahriddin Halmuhamedovich (1972-1981). Under, direction of F.H.Nazarmuhamedova 1 doctor’s and 5 master’s theses are protected. During F.H.Nazarmuhamedova’s all scientific and pedagogical activity 6 textbooks, 8 monographies are published more than 200 scientific articles.

Since 1982 for 1988 faculty corresponding member academy of medical sciences the USSR, d.m.s. managed., professor Shamsiev Sajfitdin Shamsievich, Under direction of S.S.Shamsiev are protected 7 doctor’s and more than 40 master’s theses.

Since 1989 on 2009 managing faculty was d.m.s., professor Fajziev Hamitdzhan Nishanovich. Under direction of H.N.Fajziev 7 master’s theses are protected. During all scientific and pedagogical activity are published more than 100 scientific articles, more than 30 educational-methodical recommendations.

Since 2010 for 2012 managing faculty was d.m.s., professor Ahmedova Dilorom Ilhamovna. Under direction of D.A.Ahmedovа are protected 5 doctor’s and more than 20 master’s theses.

Now managing faculty is с.m.s., docent Ashurova D.T. The faculty successfully combined scientific work with educational-methodical work. Merits of many employees of faculty were not unitary marked by a management of institute Ministry of Health and The ministry of higher educational institutions.

Students of the department are trained in the 1st year of the pediatric faculty in the subject “Introduction to the medical specialty”, 1st year of the faculty of higher nursing in the subject “Nursing”, 2nd, 3rd year students of the pediatric faculty, medical and medical-pedagogical faculty in the subject “Propaedeutics of childhood diseases” “, 4th year students of the medical and biological faculty in the subject “Hematology”, 2nd and 3rd year students of the international faculty in the subject “Bioethics”. The department also trains clinical residents in the specialty “Pediatrics”.

In their scientific, practical, pedagogical activities, the department’s employees closely cooperate with the Research Institute of Pediatrics, the Research Institute of Thoracic Surgery, the Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, the Research Institute of Virology, and the Departments of Pediatrics of the Moscow Medical Institute Pirogov, Department of Propaedeutics of Childhood Diseases with a course of general child care at St. Petersburg University (Prof. Novikova V.P.).
