Scientific direction of the department. Since 2020, the teaching staff of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics No. 1, traditional medicine has been carrying out research work on the topic: “Diagnostics and treatment of acquired diseases in children and improvement of prevention methods.” Scientific supervisor: Doctor of Medical Sciences, docent Alieva N.R.

Scientific problem: “Clinical and laboratory criteria for the course of bronchopulmonary pathology and systemic inflammatory response of congenital and acquired diseases in children.”

Scientific direction: “Improving methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of congenital and acquired diseases in children.”

Scientific research. Over the past 5 years, 2 dissertations have been defended:

  1. Associate Professor Akramova H.A. (DcS-2018);
  2. Assistant Khudainazarov S.R. (PhD-2022).

Currently, the department has 2 Doctors of Science and 2 PhD.

Currently, the department is conducting the following research:

  1. “Prognostic criteria for the development of pulmonary hypertension in children with congenital heart defects” – basic doctoral student (PhD) Rakhmatillaeva M.Sh.
  2. “Clinical and functional indicators of health, physical and intellectual development of children playing chess” – independent researcher Mukhamedjanova F.R.
  3. “Improving the method of admitting premature babies born with heart defects for heart surgery” – independent researcher Abdurakhmanova D.F.
  4. “Clinical and functional characteristics of diseases of the small intestine in children living in the Aral region” – independent researcher Amanova N.A.
  5. “Clinical and laboratory criteria for systemic inflammation in children under one year of age” – basic doctoral student (PhD) Ergasheva M.N.

Scientific cooperation. Teaching staff of the department actively cooperate with such educational institutions as: Republican Specialized Pediatric Scientific and Practical Medical Center, Tashkent City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 1, Children’s National Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics of the Asfandiyarov Kazakh Medical University (Almaty), St. Petersburg State Pediatric University, Volgograd State University, also the South Korean Koica Foundation.

Students’ Scientific Society. Every year, bachelors, masters and clinical residents participate in scientific research conducted at the department. The results of their scientific work are published in a collection of abstracts of a student scientific conference. Students took part in olympiads in pediatrics at the international olympiad in St. Petersburg.

Scientific conferences. Employees of the department regularly undergo internships and participate in congresses, conventions and conferences both in Uzbekistan and abroad. Thus, employees of the department take part in international scientific and practical conferences in pediatrics, held annually in October. In addition, the department annually organizes international scientific and practical conferences dedicated to current issues in pediatrics.

Scientific publications. Over the past 10 years, employees of the department have published more than 1,500 scientific articles, 5 monographs and received 8 computer patents from the intellectual property agency.

Participation in scientific communities. Head of the department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Alieva N.R. is a member of the World Organization of Gastroenterology.
