The course of clinical pharmacology has been created in 1983 at Central Asian Medical Pediatric Institute. It was organized on the basis of the order from 1/10/1983 №13.

2012-2013 school year the course joined  to the department Faculty therapy, military field therapy, occupational diseases.
2013-2014 school year renamed GP therapy clinical farmakologiya.

In 2021, by the decision of the administration and the Academic Council of the Institute, the department was transformed into the Department of Family Medicine № 2, Clinical Pharmacology.

The course is attended by 6th year students in the educational direction “Pediatrics”, 5th year students in the educational areas “General Medicine”, “Medical and Pedagogical Affairs” and 2nd year students in the educational direction “Higher Nursing”, 3rd year students in educational directions of “Traditional Medicine” and the international faculty in the direction of “Dentistry”, also clinical residents and undergraduates of various specialties are trained at the department.

The clinical bases where undergraduate students, as well as master’s students and clinical residents study, are:

— clinic of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute;

— building of the “International Faculty” of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute;
