V.K.Abdullayeva has been conducting scientific and pedagogical activities since 2001. Under her leadership, applicants, masters, clinical residents and gifted students are annually involved in research activities, with whom scientific articles and abstracts are published in foreign and republican journals and conference proceedings.

V.K.Abdullaeva is engaged in and supervises the research work of doctoral students, applicants and masters. Under her supervision, 2 PhD dissertations and more than 25 master’s theses were defended. As a result of the research activities of V.K. Abdullayeva published numerous scientific articles, made scientific reports and speeches at international and republican conferences and seminars. At the Department of Psychiatry, V.K. Abdullaeva is the chairman and leader of the student scientific circle “Young Psychiatrist”. Under her leadership, masters and students repeatedly won prizes (Gurov A.V., Rogov A.V., Irmukhamedov T.B., Yong Yu.A. and others). At the international competition of the best programs for primary prevention of substance abuse, held in Moscow “I INTERNATIONAL CONTEST of programs of prevention, rehabilitation and resocialization in the field of mental health “CONSCIOUS CHOICE” under the direction of V.K. Abdullaeva, Master Sh. T. Tuychiev received a diploma of II degree.

In the process of scientific and pedagogical activity V.K. Abdullayeva reviewed a large number of doctoral dissertations, monographs, textbooks, methodological manuals, articles, teaching aids, including a textbook for employees of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Psychotherapy of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (Russia, Moscow) Assoc. Prof. A.S. Berezkin, MD T.N.Dudko, Professor I.A.Zrazhevskaya on the topic: “Rehabilitation of people addicted to psychoactive substances.” In 2020, the International Academy of Natural Sciences awarded V.K. Abdullayeva the Honorary degree of Doctor of Science, Honoris Causa.

National Development Program “Science-2020”

The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, together with Elsevier (Netherlands), developed the national development program Science 2020. The main goal of this program is to improve the quality of research activities of the teaching staff of higher educational institutions of our country, as well as to further expand the possibilities of registration in the databases of world educational resources, electronic catalogs of modern scientific literature. As part of the national development program, it is planned to assist in the preparation of articles by young scientists and doctoral students, as well as support in the publication of their scientific papers in high-ranking journals.

In order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 5, 2018 UP-3775 “On additional measures to improve the quality of education in higher educational institutions and ensure their active participation in large-scale reforms of the country”, seminars and trainings were held by the Information Resource Center and the Department for the preparation of scientific and scientific and pedagogical personnel for registration in the international scientific bases Scopus and Science Direct for 10 employees of the department, including professors, teachers, applicants for basic doctoral studies (PhD) and doctoral studies (DSc), as well as independent applicants for the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology , child psychiatry, medical psychology and psychotherapy. All 10 employees of the department were registered in the international database Scopus and Science Direct.

All 10 employees download literature data, articles and information on their specialty from the international database Scopus and Science Direct. Based on the received materials, a database of the information resource center is formed. Currently, the number of downloaded materials is 263 for the month of October. The downloaded data is used to cover the literary part of master’s theses, for dissertations of applicants for basic doctoral studies, as well as independent applicants for the department, for writing new publications.
