Responsible for the medical activities of the department: candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Ismailova Muazam Asrarovna Throughout the academic year, department staff conduct consultations based on the schedule in the neonatal pathology departments No. 1 and No. 2 of the City Children’s Hospital No. 5 and clinical bases. Professors and associate professors of the department conduct rounds in the intensive care unit, neonatal pathology departments and provide consultations to seriously ill newborn children. Department staff also review case histories of deceased newborn children. On the 9th-16th of every month throughout the year, employees of the department provide qualified medical care to sick newborn children in perinatal centers and maternity hospitals throughout the republic via the Sanitary Aviation Line. Also, associate professors of the department, by order of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, participate in an internal audit of mortality in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Employees of the department conduct scientific and practical conferences for doctors of the City Children’s Hospital No. 5 based on the schedule. The head of the department and all staff took an active part in daily meetings held in the clinic, clinical and pathological meetings.
