The Internal Control Inspectorate was created in 1997 in order to control the quality of the educational process in state educational institutions, improve the quality of personnel training, and improve education. At the same time, the Internal Control Inspectorate monitored the implementation of decrees, resolutions and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, orders and instructions of higher organizations, carried out work on appeals from citizens, to strengthen executive discipline.
Since its creation, the name of the department has changed several times: in 1997-2001 – the department was called the “Internal Inspection Department”, in 2001-2020 – the “Internal Control and Monitoring Department”, from 2020 to the present “Department for working with requests from individuals and legal entities, control and monitoring.”
Over a 25-year period, the department was headed by the following employees:
