The Department of Public Health and Health Management of the Tashkent
Pediatric Medical Institute is a department related to the block of advanced clinical
disciplines. The department is located in the main academic building of the Tashkent
Medical Pediatric Institute, and a contract has been drawn up with the Kibray district
Medical Association, the Yangi Khayet private clinic located in Almazar district and
the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance of Mirzo Ulugbek district
to provide practical skills.

The department employs 24 professors and teachers, and the scientific
potential is 75% (5 doctors of sciences, 13 candidates of sciences).
At the department, the educational process is carried out in 6 bachelor’s degree
areas in the disciplines of “Public Health Organization” and “Hygiene, Medical
Ecology”, and management specialists are trained as part of the master’s degree and
clinical internships.

Bachelor’s degree courses:
The Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management trains students
in 6 bachelor’s degree programs: “Pediatric Medicine”, “Medical Medicine”,
“Medical and Pedagogical Medicine” (medical medicine) and “Medical and
Biological Medicine”, “Traditional Medicine”, as well as “Higher Nursing”.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 3 students are enrolled in the
Master’s degree program. Including -1 in the 1st year, 2 in the 2nd year.

The educational literature presented in the framework of bachelor’s degree
programs in public health and master’s degree training is available in the Information
and Resource Center of the Institute, and the level of provision of educational
literature is 100%. The Institute also has monographs on this topic, methodological
recommendations, dissertations, domestic and foreign scientific and practical
periodicals.

A plan for the preparation and publication of educational literature has been
developed and approved. According to the plan approved by the faculty of the
department, 1 textbook and 3 teaching aids were published in 2024, and 1 textbook,
3 teaching aids and 2 monographs were submitted for publication in 2025.
The department has 15 electronic lectures and presentations related to this
field, 6 of which were created by professors and teachers of the department.
