Students of the 5th year of the Faculty of Medicine and Pedagogy, 3-6 years of the Faculty of Pediatrics, 2nd year OCI, as well as masters and clinical residents in the specialty “Children’s Infectious Diseases” are trained at the department.

The department conducts scientific research in the following areas: “Clinical and pathogenetic features, early diagnosis and improvement of the principles of treatment of viral hepatitis and diarrheal diseases in children, taking into account congenital pathology”, “Optimization of treatment and prevention of tuberculosis and extrapubic tuberculosis against the background of comorbid pathology”, “ Improving characteristics and preventing tuberculosis in children.”

The degree of the department is 53.7%.

Employees of the department actively participate in the development of methodological recommendations, teaching aids and textbooks on infection and phthisiology. In addition, department staff, masters, applicants and doctoral students take an active part in international conferences, congresses and symposiums.
